The Wheel of Fortune | Watercolor Tarot
Once upon a time I dreamed of creating 9x14 watercolor re-imaginings of each Tarot Card (or maybe just the Major Arcana cuz jeez that's a lot of cards).
Creating both this piece and The Star were huge motivating factors in going to art school. I was so proud of how the figure turned out in this one I didn't even realize it sorta looks like she's just. . . floating in water, holding the wheel. Now it just makes me giggle.
I still hold a fleeting hope I could actually finish the Major Arcana someday. . . but the two I did finish took me literally months. Plus I've learned so much more about art and my style has shifted, so I'd probably have to do these two again. That doesn't mean it won't happen though!
